The Labor and Delivery Nurse is responsible for the planning and provision of nursing care to patients and their families during the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods, including emergency situations and circulating for C-Sections.
Supervises and delegates care responsibilities to ancillary personnel commensurate with their scope of practice.
Required Training/Education/Experience/Certification:
Current California RN license, BLS, ACLS, NRP, Fetal Monitoring and; (1) Must be willing and able to cross train for OB/GYN patients; (23) Must have completed a Fetal Monitoring Class within the past 2 years.
Desired Training/Education/Experience/Certification:
(1) Previous Mother-Baby, L&D or MedSurg experience, Must be able to follow instructions, work quickly and accurately in a fast paced environment.
Analytical and grammatical skills are necessary to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
Organizational and multi-tasking skills are essential.
Must be fluent in spoken and written English.
Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
