Wonderful opportunity to join the team at Oak Park Surgery Center! We are a family oriented, state of the art, physician-owned ambulatory surgery center (ASC).
The facility is conveniently located in beautiful Arroyo Grande - CA, with easy access to Highway 101.

We specialize in the following areas of practice:
Orthopedics, including total knee and total hip surgery Podiatry Plastic Surgery We are seeking experienced nurses for a Full-time, Part-time or per diem position.
Prior ASC experience STRONGLY preferred.
Must be willing to Cross-Train as a circulating nurse.
Accountabilities /
Responsibilities:
Accountable for the provision of nursing care in the assigned peri-operative areas of the surgery center.
Collect and assess preoperative data for surgical clearance in conjunction with anesthesia provider.
Ensure patient needs are met in accordance with instructions of physician and facility administrative procedures.
Participates in various quality activities as appropriate and as directed by the Nursing Supervisor, Facility Administrator or Medical Director.
The nurse must set priorities in planning cases and making clinical decisions, provide care for patients with pre-op and post-operative nursing care of the surgical patient.
They are a resource for complex decision making and establishing individualized plan of care for the peri-operative patient.
Exhibits competency in performing all functions of assigned area or duties, including pre-op and PACU.
Documents activities according to facility policies and procedures Ability to multi-task Fosters a cooperative effort and works as a team player Seeks guidance, direction and assistance when needed Recognizes and utilizes appropriate lines of communication Adheres to infection control standards Adheres to universal protocol and patient safety standards in accordance with Standards of Patient Care, AAAASF, Patient's Bill of Rights, Oak Park Surgery policies and procedures, professional standards Minimum Requirements:
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in California Documentation and confirmation of one year of peri-op experience.
ASC experience strongly preferred.
IV skills Critical thinking skills Current BLS card ACLS certification within 6 months of hire Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
