Assistant Office Manager Position Overview:
The Assistant Office Manager will report to and assist the Office Manager and Pastor by performing general administrative and bookkeeping duties in support of Church operations, events, and worship services.
Areas of Responsibility 1.
Provide administrative support to church operations, worship services, and events as necessary and directed by the Office Manager or Pastor.
This includes but is not limited to:
Publishing both the weekly bulletin and associated PowerPoint slides for worship services, including printing, assembly and distribution of the bulletin for each service.
Sending letters to visitors who have filled out 'Welcome' cards at services or events hosted by the church.
Assist with tracking attendance at worship services and events Assist with filing and storage of various administrative paperwork, such as insurance, tax forms, receipts, etc.
Coordinate the scheduling of readers, communion assistants, and 'snack time' between services.
Answer phone calls and act as a receptionist for visitors to the church office, in a friendly and professional manner representing church values.

Gain familiarity with the church bookkeeping and payroll procedures in QuickBooks accounting software.
In the absence of the Office Manager, be able to execute these procedures.

Competently use Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and other office software as needed to accomplish duties.
Knowledge and Skills required:
Bookkeeping experience required; experience with QuickBooks preferred.
Pleasant personality and patience as appropriate for dealing with church members and the public.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
Competent with Microsoft Office products, and comfortable learning other office systems and software.
Experience required:
Bookkeeping or accounting experience required.
Hours and Compensation:
Part time, 10 hours per week at $20.
00 per hour.
